What is 316LN Austenitic Stainless Steel?

316LN is a nitrogen alloyed austenitic stainless steel with Mo addition. It is also referred to as the UNS S31653 / W.Nr. 1.4429 stainless steel.

316LN is a nitrogen alloyed austenitic stainless steel with Mo addition. The addition of nitrogen gives it high mechanical properties and excellent resilience at low temperatures compared to 316L stainless steel.

Main properties of 316LN are high ductility, good weldability. It is particularly suitable for the needs of cryogeny and vacuum applications, but also for nuclear, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceutical industry, food industry.
