Inconel 600 Sheet (UNS N06600 / W.Nr. 2.4816)

High-strength corrosion-resistant alloy Sheets for chemical and petrochemical processing

As a leading Inconel materials supplier in China, SEATHER manufactures and supplies cost-effective Inconel 600 sheets for global customers.

INCONEL® 600 (nickel–chromium–iron alloy), designated UNS N06600 / W.Nr. 2.4816, is a widely used engineering material known for its excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature stability, and outstanding mechanical properties. It offers an ideal balance of high strength, good workability, and consistent performance in demanding environments.

As one of the most commonly used nickel alloys, Inconel 600 sheet is produced by flattening and shearing cold-rolled coils. The typical thickness of cold-rolled Inconel 600 sheet is below 5 mm, and compared with plate products, the sheet surface exhibits a brighter and smoother finish.

Inconel 600 sheets deliver high strength and excellent creep resistance across all temperature ranges. They also offer significantly better fatigue resistance than ordinary alloy sheets, along with superior oxidation resistance, making them suitable for a wide range of high-temperature and corrosive service conditions.

What is Inconel 600 Alloy (UNS N06600)

Alloy 600 also referred to as the UNS N06600, W.Nr. 2.4816 alloy.

The alloy also has excellent mechanical properties and presents the desirable combination of high strength and good workability.

The alloy is not precipitation hardenable; it is hardened and strengthened only by cold work.

The versatility of alloy 600 has led to its use in a variety of applications involving temperatures from cryogenic to above 2000°F (1095°C).

In the aeronautical field, alloy 600 is used for a variety of engine and airframe components which must withstand high temperatures. Examples are lockwire, exhaust liners and turbine seals.

The alloy 600 is used in the electronic field for such parts as cathode-ray tube spiders, thyratron grids, tube support members and springs.

More Information About Inconel Alloy 600 Sheet

When you choose to buy Inconel 600 sheet, there have some important points we need to know before we get started.

So enjoy the read…

Pitting resistance equivalency numbers (PREN) for Inconel 600 Sheet

Inconel 600 PREN: 16

The pitting resistance equivalency number uses the alloy’s chemical makeup to guess its power against pitting corrosion. You check how much chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and nitrogen are in the alloy. These elements help keep the steel safe. The most used formula is:

PREN = CR% + 3.3 x (MO% + 0.5 x W%) + 16 x N%

How to Purchase Inconel Alloy 600 Sheet
