MONEL® alloy K-500 (UNS N05500 / W.Nr. 2.4375) is a precipitation-hardened nickel-copper alloy developed by adding aluminum and titanium to the base composition. This enhances its mechanical properties, giving it significantly higher strength and hardness while maintaining the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400. As a result, Monel K-500 performs exceptionally well in demanding applications involving high stress, seawater, chemical media, and harsh environments.
Monel K-500 coil is produced by rolling and coiling Monel K-500 sheet or plate. Depending on the production route, we offer both hot-rolled Monel K-500 coils and cold-rolled Monel K-500 coils. Once uncoiled and leveled, they can be further processed into sheets, plates, or precision-cut strip materials.
- Cold-rolled Monel K-500 coil is supplied by default with a 2B finish, offering a smooth and uniform surface suitable for precision applications.
- Hot-rolled Monel K-500 coil is supplied with a No.1 finish, ideal for heavy-duty and structural use.

What is Monel K-500 (UNS N05500)
Alloy K-500 also referred to as the UNS N05500/W.Nr. 2.4375 alloy.
It is a nickel-copper alloy which combines the excellent corrosion resistance of alloy 400 with the added advantages of greater strength and hardness.
K-500 alloy has excellent mechanical properties ranging from sub-zero temperatures up to around 480°C.
Typical applications for alloy K-500 products are chains and cables, fasteners and springs for marine service; pump and valve components for chemical processing; doctor blades and scrapers for pulp processing in paper production; oil well drill collars and instruments, pump shafts and impellers, non-magnetic housings, safety lifts and valves for oil and gas production; and sensors and other electronic components.
