Titanium Coil

As a specialized supplier of titanium materials, SEATHER TECHNOLOGY manufactures high-quality titanium coils produced through advanced hot-rolling and cold-rolling processes. Our titanium coils fully comply with major international standards, including ASTM, DIN, JIS, AMS, and GB, ensuring reliable performance across global markets.

Hot-Rolled Titanium Coil

Hot-rolled titanium coil is produced by rolling and annealing semi-finished titanium plates, then winding them into coil form. This process provides excellent workability, stable mechanical properties, and suitability for further forming, welding, or machining.

Cold-Rolled Titanium Coil

Cold-rolled titanium coil is manufactured by further processing hot-rolled material through precision pickling, cleaning, and cold reduction. Cold-rolled coils offer:

  • Superior surface finish
  • Tighter thickness tolerances
  • Higher mechanical strength
  • Better flatness and dimensional accuracy

Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities

SEATHER’s extensive production equipment allows us to deliver titanium coils with precise width, thickness, and mechanical properties. Our capabilities include:

  • Eight controlled-atmosphere annealing lines specifically designed for titanium strip
  • Precision cleaning and pickling systems
  • Tension leveling and slitting
  • Edging and oscillate winding
  • Customized coil sizes tailored to project requirements

With strong technical expertise and strict quality control, we ensure our titanium coils perform consistently in demanding applications such as chemical processing, aerospace components, heat exchangers, medical equipment, marine engineering, and industrial manufacturing.

Titanium Coil Materials & Grades

These titanium coils grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12 as per ASTM B265 standard.

Titanium coil Grade 1 is a commercially pure form of titanium and is generally unalloyed. It also has excellent corrosion resistance and good formability.

The mechanical properties of these grades increase with the purity of titanium; commercially pure grades such as Grade 1 can be cold formed but have low strength and stiffness.

The welding techniques used in Grade 1 are more difficult than those used in many other alloys.

Titanium coil Grades 2 through 5 have higher strengths resulting from additions of aluminum or vanadium which also slightly increase the density of these alloys.

Titanium Coils: The Ultimate Guide

This coil product has characteristics such as good corrosion resistance, good processability, high strength and toughness, good workability and so on.

So what’s the Titanium Coil grade? What’s the production process of titanium coils?

In this guide, we will show you details about all.

So enjoy the read…

What are Titanium Coils?

The titanium coil is a coil made from titanium and titanium alloy, a highly versatile and durable metal known for its exceptional strength, low density, and resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.

Titanium coils are used in various industrial, medical, and aerospace applications due to their unique properties.

Features of Titanium Coil

Corrosion Resistance:
Titanium exhibits exceptional resistance to corrosion from seawater, acids, chlorides, and a wide range of industrial media. This makes it an excellent choice for components exposed to highly aggressive or marine environments.

High Strength-to-Weight Ratio:
With a remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, titanium delivers elevated mechanical performance while remaining significantly lighter than many other metals. This combination is ideal for applications where reduced weight and high strength are critical.

Biocompatibility:
Titanium is inherently biocompatible and non-reactive with living tissue, making it a preferred material for medical implants, surgical instruments, and biomedical devices.

Thermal Stability:
Titanium maintains its structural integrity at elevated temperatures, offering reliable performance in high-heat environments such as aerospace, power generation, and chemical processing.
