What is 1.4923 Martensitic Creep Resisting Stainless Steel?
Grade 1.4923 stainless steel is a kind of martensitic creep resisting stainless steel. It is also referred to as the X22CrMoV12-1 stainless steel.
1.4923 stainless steel is a combination of chromium, molibdenium, vanadium, nickel elements.
Due to the addition of vanadium it has an increased creep rupture strength. Scale oxide resistance up to approximately 600°C. The corrosion resistance in natural environment is limited due to the relatively low chromium content.
Grade 1.4923 stainless steel is widely used in turbine construction, aerospace and for pressure and steam boiler.
Grade 1.4923 stainless steel is available in the form of pipe, round bar, forgings, rings, plate, strip and foil section.
