What is 316LVM Austenitic Stainless Steel?
Grade 316LVM, tailored for medical and surgical use, is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel characterized by a face-centered cubic crystal structure and exceptional mechanical attributes.
It is also referred to as the UNS S31673/W.Nr. 1.4441 stainless steel.
Distinguished by the “L” denoting low carbon, 316LVM showcases reduced carbon content compared to standard 316 stainless steel.
This alloy’s notable trait lies in its remarkable resistance to a diverse range of corrosive elements, spanning harsh chemicals, acids, alkalis, and chloride solutions. This attribute renders it ideal for medical implants, devices, bone screws, and other applications exposed to bodily fluids or rigorous sterilization procedures.
