What is 321 Austenitic Stainless Steel?
Grade 321 austenitic stainless steel, also referred to as the UNS S32100 / W.Nr. 1.4541 alloy.
The good wear resistance of 321 stainless steel is manifested in organic acids and inorganic acids of different concentrations and different temperatures, especially in oxidizing media.
Meanwhile, grade 321 stainless steel is also a refractory steel with better high temperature resistance than 316L.
Its performance is very similar to that of 304 stainless steel. But due to the addition of alloy titanium content, it has better resistance to grain boundary corrosion and high temperature strength. It effectively controls the formation of chromium carbide.
This alloy is widely used in in heat exchanger industries, spiral welded pipe, marine industries.
Grade 321 stainless steel is available in forms including pipes, tubes, round rod, bar, plate, sheet, strips and foils products.
