What is UNS S32760 Duplex Stainless Steel?
Grade UNS S32760 is a a high-alloy duplex stainless steel. It is also referred to as the W.Nr. 1.4501 or F55 alloy.
Grade UNS S32760 duplex steel also features strong resistance to chloride corrosion, high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion. Higher chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content make it highly resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion and other corrosions.
The excellent overall performance of S32760 duplex steel is superior to that of general dual phase steel, such as UNS S32205.
It was initially developed as a seawater resistant material for pump applications. It is widely used in oil and gas applications, seawater, subsea pipework systems, heat exchangers and more.
Grade UNS S32760 duplex stainless steel is available in all standard mill forms including pipe, rod, bar, plate, sheet, strip and foil products.
