What is UNS S32205 Duplex Stainless Steel?
Grade UNS S32205 stainless steel is a duplex stainless steel containing 22% chromium and 3% molybdenum.
Grade UNS S32205 duplex stainless steel, also referred to as the W.Nr. 1.4462 alloy.
UNS S32205 has superior resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion as compared to 317L stainless steel.
UNS S32205 is especially suitable for use in the temperature range of -50°F / +600°F, beyond which, this alloy may also be considered to use, but with some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures.
Grade UNS S32205 duplex stainless steel is available in all standard mill forms including pipe, rod, bar, plate, sheet, strip and foil products.
