Alloy 800H
About Alloy 800H
What is Alloy 800H?
Alloy 800H also referred to as the UNS N08810/W.Nr. 1.4958 alloy.
Alloy 800H is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy having the same basic composition as alloy 800, with significantly higher creep rupture strength. The higher strength results from close control of carbon, aluminum and titanium contents in conjunction with a high temp anneal.
Typical applications for the 800H alloy include ethylene pyrolysis, hydrocarbon cracking, cracking furnaces for vinyl chloride, diphenol and acetic acid.
This alloy is also used for valves, fittings and other components exposed to corrosive attack from 1100 to 1800 deg F.
Alloys 800H and 800HT are available in all standard mill forms including rod, bar, plate, sheet, strip, shapes, and tubular products.
